1. How AI Is Used in This Service

ShortScript AI uses artificial intelligence to generate content including video scripts, hooks, captions, hashtags, chat responses, images, and video concepts. AI is integrated across the following features:

  • Script Generation: AI creates short-form video scripts optimized for specific platforms, niches, and audiences.
  • Hook Generator: AI produces attention-grabbing opening lines designed to maximize viewer retention.
  • Content Rewriter: AI rewrites existing content in different styles (viral, shorter, emotional, storytelling).
  • Niche Trends: AI analyzes trending topics and suggests content ideas within specific niches.
  • Content Calendar: AI generates multi-day posting schedules with daily content ideas.
  • AI Chat: An AI assistant helps brainstorm ideas, improve content, and answer questions about social media strategy.
  • Image Generation: AI creates images from text descriptions using models like DALL-E or Imagen.
  • Video Generation: AI assists with video concept development and prompt enhancement.

2. AI Providers

The Service may route your requests through one or more of the following AI providers, depending on configuration:

  • OpenAI: Models such as GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini, and DALL-E for text, chat, and image generation.
  • Google Gemini: Models such as Gemini 2.5 Flash and Imagen for text, chat, and image generation.
  • OpenRouter: Access to various open-source and commercial models for text and chat generation.

The specific provider and model used for your request depends on administrator configuration and the automatic fallback system. If your preferred provider is unavailable, the system may route your request to an alternative provider.

3. What Happens to Your Prompts

When you submit a generation request:

  • Your input (topic, niche, audience, platform, language, style) is combined with a structured system prompt to guide the AI.
  • The combined prompt is sent to the configured AI provider's API for processing.
  • The AI provider processes your prompt and returns generated content.
  • The generated content and metadata (provider, model, tokens used, cost, generation time) are stored in our database for your access.

Your prompts are transmitted to third-party AI providers. Each provider has its own data handling and retention policies. We encourage you to review their terms if you have concerns about how your prompts are processed.

4. AI Content Limitations

Important things to understand about AI-generated content:

  • Not guaranteed accurate: AI can produce incorrect facts, statistics, or claims. Always fact-check before publishing.
  • Not guaranteed unique: AI may generate content similar to what it has produced for other users or that exists elsewhere online.
  • May contain bias: AI models are trained on large datasets and may reflect biases present in that training data.
  • Quality varies: Output quality depends on the AI model, your prompt specificity, and the complexity of the request.
  • Not a substitute for human judgment: Always review, edit, and fact-check AI-generated content before using it publicly.

5. Your Responsibilities

When using AI-generated content, you agree to:

  • Review all content before publishing on any platform.
  • Fact-check any claims, statistics, or factual statements in generated content.
  • Comply with the content policies and terms of service of platforms where you publish (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
  • Comply with applicable laws regarding AI disclosure where required.
  • Not use AI to generate content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or violates the rights of others.
  • Not attempt to generate content that circumvents AI safety measures.

6. Usage Limits & Cost

AI generation consumes computational resources that have real costs. To manage this sustainably:

  • Each subscription tier has daily and monthly limits for each type of AI generation (text, chat, images, video).
  • Token usage and associated costs are tracked per request.
  • The administrator may adjust limits, available models, or features at any time.
  • An emergency kill switch exists that can disable all AI features instantly if needed.

7. Template Fallback

If AI providers are unavailable or not configured, the Service falls back to template-based content generation. Template content is pre-written and does not involve AI processing. Template-generated content is clearly functional but may be less customized than AI-generated content.

8. Data & Privacy

For details on how your data is handled in relation to AI processing, please refer to our Privacy Policy, specifically the sections on AI Provider Data Sharing and Data Retention.

9. Changes to AI Features

AI technology evolves rapidly. We may add, modify, or remove AI providers, models, or features at any time. Changes to AI capabilities will be reflected in the Service and this policy will be updated accordingly.
