By accessing or using ShortScript AI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service is an AI-powered content generation platform that creates short-form video scripts, hooks, captions, hashtags, and related content for social media platforms including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. The Service may also include AI chat, image generation, and video generation features depending on your subscription plan.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update your information as needed.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service.

4. Subscription Plans & Payment

The Service offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Premium, and Unlimited) with varying usage limits and feature access. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Subscription pricing, features, and usage limits are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any changes to paid subscription pricing.

5. Usage Limits & Fair Use

Each subscription tier includes daily and monthly usage limits for content generation, chat messages, image generation, and video generation. These limits are enforced automatically. Attempting to circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts, automation, or other means is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension or termination.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated through the Service is created using artificial intelligence. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, and publish AI-generated content for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. However:

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or quality of AI-generated content.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing content before publishing.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with all applicable laws and the terms of service of any platform where you publish it.
• AI-generated content should not be represented as entirely human-created where disclosure is required by law.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Create content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
• Generate spam, misleading content, or content designed to deceive or manipulate.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms used by the Service.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written authorization.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond normal usage.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, including but not limited to abuse of usage limits, prohibited content generation, or payment failures. Suspended accounts may be reactivated at our discretion. Terminated accounts and their associated data may be permanently deleted.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and underlying AI technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service. It does not grant you ownership of any part of the Service itself.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
