Billing Policy

1. Subscription Plans
ShortScript AI offers three subscription tiers:
- Free: Basic access with limited daily and monthly usage. No payment required.
- Premium: Expanded usage limits, access to additional features and AI modalities, and priority support.
- Unlimited: Maximum usage limits, access to all features and modalities, and the highest generation caps.
Specific pricing, features, and limits for each plan are displayed on the Pricing page and may be updated by the platform administrator.
2. Billing Cycle
Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. Your billing cycle begins on the date you first subscribe to a paid plan. You will be charged on the same date each month until you cancel.
3. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full bank details on our servers. Stripe handles all sensitive payment information according to their security standards.
We accept the payment methods supported by Stripe, which typically include major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.).
4. Plan Changes
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time:
- Upgrading: When you upgrade to a higher plan, the change takes effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.
- Downgrading: When you downgrade, your current plan features remain active until the end of your current billing period, at which point the lower plan takes effect.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible from your dashboard). When you cancel:
- Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier.
- No further charges will be made after cancellation.
- Your generated content and account data are retained and accessible on the Free plan.
6. Failed Payments
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):
- Stripe will automatically retry the charge according to their retry schedule.
- You will receive notification from Stripe about the failed payment.
- If payment continues to fail, your subscription may be cancelled and your account reverted to the Free tier.
- You can update your payment method through the Stripe Customer Portal at any time.
7. Usage Limits
Each plan includes specific usage limits for different types of AI generation (text, chat, images, video). These limits reset on a daily and monthly basis. Usage that exceeds your plan's limits will be blocked until the next reset period. Usage does not roll over between periods.
8. Free Tier
The Free tier is available to all registered users at no cost. It provides limited access to core features with lower generation limits. The Free tier may be modified or discontinued at the platform operator's discretion, with reasonable notice provided to affected users.
9. Pricing Changes
Subscription pricing may change from time to time. If pricing increases:
- Existing subscribers will be notified in advance.
- The new pricing will take effect at the start of the next billing period after the notice period.
- You may cancel before the new pricing takes effect without additional charges.
10. Taxes
Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.). Any applicable taxes will be calculated and added during checkout based on your location, as handled by Stripe.
